This winter, the Lanaudière and Mauricie regions welcome you with outstanding snowmobile trail conditions and a multitude of circuits over a 4,800 km (2,980 mi.) trail network. Close to major centres, the Lanaudière and Mauricie are just 90 minutes from Montréal and Québec City. The quality of their trails, excellent maintenance, and the proximity of services have earned these two regions the undisputed title of Snowmobile Country. Add in there 25 snowmobile clubs, and many hotel owners, and service providers, all constantly working to make your visit a memorable one. A thrilling ride over the Lac Taureau dam

Experience one of the most popular attractions for snowmobilers in the region. Cross over the former hydroelectric dam built on the Matawin River to control the flow of the St. Maurice River. The trail passes directly over the dam.

An epic ride in the heart of Snowmobile Country

Take a memorable ride through Mastigouche Reserve and Mauricie National Park on our broad winding trails #360 and #23. They promise you 290 km of pure riding pleasure with many unique attractions along the way, right in the heart of Snowmobile Country.

Tour the peaks of Saint-Donat: Montagne Noire and Mont des Cenelles

A scenic trail at altitude that takes you to the highest points of Saint-Donat. Stop at lookouts with breathtaking views of the area. Feed birds directly from your hand. Don’t forget your camera.

The suspension bridge at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci

A bridge over the Ouareau River, nicknamed the “Golden Gate” by snowmobilers. Cross the bridge and make a stop in Saint-Côme to see more than 50 ice sculptures during the Festival Saint-Côme ice festival.

Ride along some of the earliest trails created in Québec, out where the fun of snowmobiling first started. Numerous lively village centres open their doors, with historic stopovers right in the heart of snowmobile country.

Rivières Trail

Departure from Saint Zénon

According to a number of experienced snowmobilers, this circuit follows one of the finest trails in Québec: Trail 360, located just north of the Mastigouche wildlife reserve and La Mauricie National Park, running beside the Rivière Matawin. What’s more, several inns and other stopovers are found along the way, adding to this destination’s notoriety (Auberge du Lac Taureau, Sacacomie, Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc, Hôtel Marineau, Auberge le Cabanon, Relais Koubek, etc.)

Great Adventure Tour

Departure from Saint Zénon

Take off on an adventure in the Haute-Mauricie and northern Lanaudière regions. On the program, a 4- or 5-day circuit along the always popular Trail 355, which is broad and rapid enough to procure a good dose of adrenaline, and which will lead you on to La Tuque. After that you’ll discover stopovers and outfitters in magnificent locations, where comfort and a warm welcome is always at hand. Some establishments also offer guided tours off the main trails.
