An old Pontiac railroad

Take the new bridge on your snowmobile and cross from Ontario to the western part of the Outaouais Region with the PPJ, a former railroad converted in a multipurpose recreational path. Discover the rich heritage of a part of the region that is worth getting to know over 92km. you’ll see the longest convered bridge in Quebec, a lumber baron’s estate, as well as the Chutes Coulonge Park and its magnificent canyon.

Auberge Spruceholme Inn

Built in 1875, this gem holds an important place in the Pontiac’s history. Auberge Spruceholme Inn is easily accessible to snowmobilers by the PPJ trail. It has a sauna and the warm, welcoming Bistro du bûcheron Bryson.

The logger’s route

Departure from Duhamel

The linear park reaching Maniwaki runs through several villages of the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and goes along several bodies of water. You’ll find majestic Forêt de l’Aigle et its marvels: gigantic pines that are over 200 years old covering a third of its territory. This is quite rare in Québec! Warm up at the teepee shaped bivouac by the trail.
